Why is my graphic card failing?

i got my laptop in june 2009 hp pavilion dv7 1245 and the graphics are failing any really dark colors or black now have static like blue dots and in the middle of the screen when black like 2-3 solid blue lines will show up. Now everyone says it cant be replaced but why is it failing anyway please explain this too me
