Lexmark X2250 Problem?

I installed a new colour ink cartridge yesterday, (the black one is still empty) and now whenever I try to print something (an email for example) it comes out blank. The test page from the printer comes out fine, but any text or documents/pictures just come out blank? it was working fine before adding this ink cartridge yesterday? any suggestions?? Thanks. I am running Windows Xp Home Edt if this helps.
